69Excessive wear to the kicks!
The poor shoes get all of the blame!
It is a common misconception that buying new shoes will get rid of back, leg, knee or foot pain. This is partly true in that excessive wear to the shoes can add to pain but it isn't the cause. The poor shoes are blamed for pain but rarely given the credit they deserve for having to put up with bearing all of the weight of the body while doing their best to make your feet feel comfortable. Some clever marketers even suggest that you will jump higher, run faster and walk better with certain shoes. Filling a hole in the wall with spackle hides the hole, it doesn't fix it! If you are wearing out your shoes unevenly and prematurely you really need to find out why and fix the problem. Payless doesn't sell new spines, hips, knees or ankles.
