When did hard work and the joy and fulfillment of working hard for something become obsolete? It seems that the majority of people want the big read easy button to push and life would be grand. Let's face it, anything worth working for requires due diligence and hard work.
Think about it; anything in life worth the time you put into it does not come easy. Wanna lose weight, yeah, it's easy to get surgery or take a diet pill. But, eating less and exercising more reaps the most long term benefits.
What about relationships? Sure, it's easy to hire a prostitute. Wham, bam, thank you Maam is a quick fix, but leaves you cold and alone. You may even end up with the three D's, disease, disappointment and divorce. Working and building a lasting relationship with someone to call your own is the most rewarding way to a lifetime of happiness.
The quick way to riches, hit the lottery. Studies show that most lottery winners are broke within five years of the payoff. Why? The money came too easily and they didn't work for it. When you work your business to gain riches overtime, you build equity that can be passed on to generations that succeed you.
Raising kids is easy for the lazy parent. Sure, it's easy to say yes. Why? Yes means no attitude, no pouting and no backtalk. No, means I have to straighten out the attitude, get rid of the pouting and shut down the backtalk. In a nutshell, no requires more work. But, no produces better long term results, possibly better grades in school and more responsible teenagers that turn into responsible adults.
I want the easy button too, but I realize that long term benefits will suffer hardship. Work is what helps build our businesses, molds our relationships and raises our children.
So, just work and work Hard!
