Elvis Isn't Feeling Good

Three Dogs Get Adopted

I'm so happy to see some young dogs leaving today. Lulu was the first to leave. She's a beagle mix that is a sweetheart. I've watched her stand her own against a boxer wieghing in at 90 solid pounds. It was love at first sight for him. Silly pup doesn't have a clue but love is blind to him.

Then Shadow is a 6 month old Great Dane with 2 left paws, pardon the pun. He gets so excited he trips over his own paws. It tickles my whiskers to watch him. I know he'll grow into a fine young dog that will love everyone around him and there will be a lot of laughing in his life.

The last one to leave is Ariel who is a young boxer mix. She's the last one to find a home from her litter. Not all of her family were lucky enough to find a home, though. It still hurts this cat's heart to watch what happened and people's inexperience in dealing with what happened.

It started 2 months ago when the family arrived. I was all excited and checking them out. Their mother was really protective as I expected her to be. I also knew she wasn't a cat lover. She didn't mind eating us but not a playful game of tag for her.

So, I kept my distance while doing my job as investigator. Some of her litter wasn't healthy and we were loosing them. It tore Pat's heart. I would have willingly given up a few of my extra lives to help them. Then they said good bye to the mom and Pat's still not talking about it but I think I know. It's sad but we'll meet again and maybe she'll like me then.

Ariel on the other hand just loves all of us. That's a good thing. Pat lets her sniff and chase all of us. She's going someplace in Rhode Island to her forever home. So, I know she'll be good with cats and dogs. She's good at taking the least and walking you. I wonder if the people notice who's walking who.

That's Elvis in the picture. Pat found him not being his annoy me at your on expense self. So she took him to the inf-armory. Let's hope he pulls through.

This afternoon Pat took Penny out for a walk and I had to go say hi to the girl. I think she's a mutt but what do I know. She was so happy to see me I had to lay down and gingerly give her my paw and said hello. It's been awhile since we've talked.

I've been so busy saying my good byes I need to go find those young rascals. They're getting silly about hiding under cars and that's not a good habit to get into. Don't you agree?
