Episode 63 – Michael Jackson Memorial – Yes, I Wanna Be Starting Something! Hey, I’m grieving just like everyone else at the death of Michael Jackson and that Memorial Service was as juicy as juicy can be…although I have to say those Jacksons are a nutty bunch, right? I never learned the whole, “if you don’t have something nice to say…” Read and watch more Scott at http://www.somelikeitscott.com

You may not believe this, Scott, but I do not hang out on Hubtivity just waiting for you to publish a new hub JUST so I can be the first to comment. Seriously, I think it's cuz you're in NV and I'm in CA and so our time zones coincide.

All I can say is after today, I believe Michael was actually the most normal one of the family. MM

MM - are you kidding me, I'm convinced you're the ONLY person who looks at my posts so please, comment away!! It gives me hope that somewhere out there I have an audience...even if it's only one hand clapping (If you only have one hand clapping and it's on hubpages, does it make a sound?)

As far as the Jacksons are concerned, I love them in all their nutty sequined glove splendor, "Shamon"...whatever the hell that meant, Michael!

LOL fantastic. I haven't been by your somelieitscott blog in quite a few weeks. What happened there, I couldn't tell you. Always a pleasure to watch your vids. And please, I'm pretty sure at this point in my life aspecially I wouldn't be able to hold my tongue for more than a moment. I agree with Mighty Mom, Micael probably was the most "normal" member of the entire family. (And no, she's not the only one who reads your fabulous posts).

Hey what about Pam? (Sulking in corner, sticking out lower lip...) I love your hubs. I followed MM over here though, I confess. Great to see your video. We never get that here at HP. The new 'grief beret'! LOL! Applause!

PS--I love that poster in back of you. :)

Scott, darling, do you get younger every episode? How does that work?? I want some of that!

I love that the mayor is now begging for donations to cover the MJ procession expenses... was that paid in overtime or summat to cops?? Found it disgusting that Joe was so blinged out with his gaudy rings. Not sure why Usher needed to wear sunglasses.

But mostly, I find it all so disgusting that so many people who made a living making jokes about MJ were suddenly his BFF when he died. I don't get it. I was never an MJ fanatic (although I do like some of his songs) and I've no idea if he ever did the things he was accused of doing, but the man had an obvious disconnect that was clearly a result of his childhood and I always felt bad for him. But after seeing his family use his death as a reunion concert, it's not that hard to imagine what he grew up in. Poor MJ. RIP.

Thanks everyone for the support. Nice to hear (even if my ego needed to solicit it).

Pam, come on, we're friends for life and the hereafter...who else will manage the chocolate fountain while I stuff "goodie bags" for the people attending the event?? The poster to which you refer was a present for my eighth grade graduation. It's a limited edition (917 out of 200) litho created from images from the Wizard of Oz and is signed by Jack Haley and Ray Bolger. One of my most beloved and gayest things I own!

Iz - as always, so freaking dead on. As if the city of LA (and every limo company) didn't make a fortune off of all the press and everyone else having to be in LA, stay in hotels, eat, etc. I guess I can't blame them we're all trying to make a buck. I saw a guy with a cardboard sign today walking through the traffic looking for handouts and it said, "I could lie but what for? Need money for a beer."

The Jacksons are a nutty bunch and I don't doubt they're grieving but I also won't be surprised to see a reunion tour announced.

Thanks again everyone for reading, watching and commenting.

  • Who's Bad: Gloves, glitter and the memory of a global superstarLancaster Online5 days ago

They like to say that they're "bad," but Who's Bad is hoping to pay a "good" tribute to their hero, the late Michael Jackson, when they perform Friday at the American Music Theatre. "I think that Michael Jackson is beloved throughout the world because his music touches everyone of all ages,"...
