I have to say over the years I have been pleased with how my skin has aged. Practicing what my mother and grandmother stressed for years, washing my face each night before going to bed has treated me pretty good. Always, I made certain that I washed and moisturized my face each night and if I fell asleep and forgot, I got up and washed my face.

Now that I am approaching my later 40s I am noticing signs of my skin getting older too. Along with my eyes which seem to be getting tired and causing me a little grief, but I diverge. As a young girl I noticed women my grandmothers age had skin that had a distinct look. It was less tight or had more lines. Always lovely, it just was a "grandma" thing.

Today knowing terms and phrases such as elasticity, collagen, free radicals and antioxidants I know a little more than I did that many years ago about skin care. And over the years heeding my grandmother's advice, I have washed and moisturized my face each night. But what if that isn't enough?
