I discovered Jason Mraz several years ago, when "The Remedy" was all over the radio. As someone who loves lyrics, the quirky, individual songwriting of Jason Mraz really appealed to me. But what I appreciate the most is the organic quality of his music, the feeling that his lyrics and melodies are just pouring out of him, if that makes sense.

His latest CD, We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things, released in May 2008, is already one of my favourites.

About the CD

We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things is Jason's third full-length studio album. The album features collaborations with Colbie Caillait (on the track "Lucky") and James Morrison (on the track "Details in the Fabric").

Overall Thoughts

For me, this is a CD where the sum is greater than the parts. I don't love any one individual track with a passion, but I find listening to the CD in its entirety just amazing. What I really like about the CD is that the tracks are very diverse in sound and style (retro funk, reggae, techno, rap influences can be heard on various tracks) , yet flow well as a cohesive whole.
