If you enjoy watching the hit show Weeds, you probably know by heart "Little Boxes" and can tell me who the creator is. Every episode, right as the music fades, the name Jenji Kohan pops up. But who is Jenji Kohan? Jennifer Leslie Kohan was born in Los Angeles, CA and attended Beverly Hills High School. While dating her boyfriend after graduating from Colombia, she expressed her interest in the tv business. The boyfriend told Jenji she'd have a better chance at getting elected into congress, so of course, she dumped the boyfriend, quit her jobs, and dove head first into the television world.

'That just incensed me,' Kohan recalls. 'I was furious.'

Since that time, she has written for Mad About You, Will and Grace, The Gilmore Girls, and Sex and the City just to name a few. Now, she is married to writer, Christopher Noxon, and has three children. I thank the heavens that she dumped the jerk, otherwise we'd be without one of the most cleverly written shows on television. Weeds is in its fifth season and can be seen on Showtime.
