Jennifer Love Hewitt was born on February 21, 1979 in Waco Texas, and raised by her mother in the small town of Killeen. 'Love' comes from her mother's best friend in college, but her brother Todd gave her the "Jennifer" part. It was the name of a girl he had a crush on when he was younger.

She made her official performing debut at age 3 when she sang at a livestock show. At age 5, she was taken jazz, tap, and ballet lessons which resulted in her joining the Texas Show Team, which toured through Europe and the (former) Soviet Union.

Five years later her family moved to L.A, where Jennifer quickly found commercial work and a role on.Hewitt has appeared in front of the camera since she was nine years old, when she joined a Show Team in Texas, which was a dance team that traveled to Russia and Denmark.

She founded and runs Love Spell Entertainment (her own production company!).After a very successful year in the movie business, she followed up with a good 1998 when she co-starred in the popular sequel, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.
