Jermaine Jenas is on the up!
Jermaine Jenas is on the up!

Has Jermaine Jenas finally arrived?

Is the real Jermaine Jenas here to stay or is he going to disappear again?

The great debate rages, which side of the fence are you on?

The sign's are encouraging and helping Spurs win their first trophy for 9 years, the Carling Cup will sway some of you.

Personally I'm for him, why, well whilst all his team mates have got fitter, he has got wiser. He expends his energy in areas where it matters and just look at the difference. Improved individual and team performances, improved results, a Carling Cup victory against Chelsea, in the last 16 of the UEFA Cup and of course European football guaranteed for next season, not to mention a goal for England.

He and Steed Malbranque have that vital ingredient for any midfielder, an engine. One minute he is defending and the next he is running at players at pace and looking to join the attack. You only have to listen to the experts comments after games telling us the amount of energy he seems to have.

Jermaine has been an enigma to us Tottenham fans. A fine performance followed by an anonymous one, but now he is stringing the performances together. If newspaper reports can be believed the new England manager, Fabio Capello was only impressed by 6 players in the recent game against Switzerland, our Jermaine being one of them.

It was good to see him get his first international goal, it can only help his club form for us, so come on Jermaine, come on you Spurs, I want to be singing "Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur" and celebrating after the Cup Final. I am now!

To date (24th Feb 2008) he has played 34 games (20 league, 14 cup) for Tottenham Hotspur, which is 2930 minutes playing time, has not been substituted once and scored 5 goals. In the 2 games he has scored for Spurs this season, we have won both.

In the England side again because of the Ramos Revolution taking place at White Hart Lane. It will be interesting to see the next England line up with others fit to see if he retains his place.

A debut England goal, a Carling Cup triumph, congratulations Jermaine, now, about that debut goal in a UEFA Cup Final.
