Jesus Death and Blood – A new look at why and how this was important
62Premise: Sin is nothing other than missing the mark, not being on the path to enlightenment, not getting it, and thus missing out on the blessings of this state, and having to endure the consequences of missing out.
Suffering, then, is the absence of that which brings blessing - not a punishment
If Jesus was God Incarnate, Divinity in the flesh, then what did His death mean and what does his shed blood work?
This is not a religious question, requiring statements of faith and theology. This question is aimed at the very heart of what went on when Jesus died and his blood bled out of his body. God did not want us to simply believe in a thing which was purely symbolical, which is what Judaism and Christianity are all about. Christianity is a symbolic faith - Christ's death represents God's love and forgiveness, His blood is symbolic of the washing away of our sins.
If it was meant to be just symbolic, could God not have chosen some other less tragic and less painful symbolism?
If everything was purely symbolical, my answer would be yes, He could have.
But he didn't! Why not? Why did he go through with this desperate plan to save mankind, and to save them from what?
Surmise: The purpose of life on Earth is to discover our origin, our source of life, our belongingness to the One Divine Entity.
To give us a boost God devised a plan to share his energy information with us.
We are all connected. Everything is energy. Light is energy, gravity is energy, rocks, water and trees are energy, all of life is energy, our consciousness and thoughts are energy. Everything is a form of energy, resonating at various unique vibrations.
This is why we are lifted when in the presence of high energy individuals, or at a high energy event. This also explains why we feel bad when someone with low energy, someone with a bad attitude or anger or depression, comes close to us.
Energy resonates and affects other energies it touches. So blood also is an energy form. It is also a known fact that objects and water can contain information, or the vibrations of other sources of energy, and that this information can be transmitted from one energy source to another, from one glass of water to another, or from one object to another.
So my suggestion is that Jesus came to Earth, not simply to teach and die a symbolic death, but to transmute his Divine energy information into His followers, by reprogramming their consciousness through the energy of His teaching, His presence and even through His breath.
The Earth itself was due an energy boost, received through the information and energy of Jesus' blood which poured into the ground. This revitalizing energy could be carried throughout the planet, influencing soil and water and eventually all of humankind.
Dr. David Hawkins has calibrated using kinesiology the levels of consciousness throughout history, and has recorded a rise in human consciousness shortly after Jesus' time on Earth.
Hypothesis: My conclusion is therefore:
We are all here for a purpose.
We are all connected.
We all energy.
We all miss the mark for why we are here. We all fail to realize who we are and what our role is in this life and how we can tap into the Divine power which is ours.
Jesus came to instil His knowledge and energy into us to help us towards that goal of purposeful living with power and enlightenment.
His dying and the shedding of His blood, seeping into the earth, transfers His Divine energy and information code into the earth and thus into all creatures.
This new energy, along with the spread of enlightened teaching, from Jesus and other enlightened individuals, urges the overall human consciousness level upwards, and leads to more seeking individuals finding a path to enlightenment and living lives of purpose in services to humankind.
And so the story continues.
Faith, then, being a belief in something, and being that which connects our desires and wishes to the Universal Source, is crucial in this path of enlightenment. Faith is the channel though which this Divine information and energy can flow, not just into the individual believing, but also towards those to whom the faith is directed, as in healing.
This is the culmination of observation, listening, learning, reading and much thinking. I don't say it is correct. It is a theory. What do you think?

Thanks Sandra, of course, there was the Love factor, whatever the reason or science behind it all. I am a stickler for logical explanations, and the traditional reason that it simply gets rid of sin, is just too vague for me.

Interesting hub, and theory. While so many of Jesus' teaching have been distorted over time, I do believe that there is a significance to his shed blood that is not fully understood by the churches today. I also believe that blood does contain spiritual energy, and that for a spiritual person to share his/her blood (via blood donation) is an act of love - not just for the physical life shared but also for the spiritual.
TheOrdinaryMystic, thanks for the comments. I agree, there is spiritual energy involved here.

I loved this hub, my personal interpretation of Jesus' blood was to symbolize that sorrow/suffering is the root of love. So in his greatest tragedy ( if you can call it that) while he was hurting and in pain, he also showed the most love. or Passion and Compassion. What a guy!
and I agree with you, that enlightenment comes from everywhere, from begining to end, from inside and out, from actions to words, from feelings or devine intervention. Not leaving anything out, but accepting it all and understanding the best way you know how.
