I wrote this poem in 1997 after praying and asking God to use me to help others,asking Him to let His light shine through me so that I do not speak without the power of the Holy Spirit.At the time I was on fire and ready to go & I did.But sometimes,me gets back in the way & I speak my own words.

JESUS SHINING BRIGHT

ALL THAT HE HAS DONE FOR ME

I CAN NOT COUNT THEM ALL.

HE GAVE ME LIFE,HE SET ME FREE

GAVE ME JESUS,THE BEST OF ALL.

HE DIED THAT I MIGHT LIVE

WAS IN MISERY UPON THAT TREE.

HE GAVE,NOW I MUST GIVE

SO THAT OTHERS MAY BE FREE.

THE SPIRIT OF GOD GOES WITH ME

SO I'LL GIVE HIS MESSAGE NOT MINE.

HIS MESSAGE THROUGH ME,THEY WILL SEE

IS NOT FROM FLESH,BUT THE GREAT DIVINE.

THEY'LL KNOW THAT IT IS TRUE

FOR THEY WILL SEE THE LIGHT.

THE LIGHT THAT SHINES THROUGH ME

IS JESUS SHINING BRIGHT.
