Airsoft Electric Guns...Tested, Chronographed, Guaranteed! Check out our entire line of Jing Gong Airsoft guns
Jing Gong Produces the best MK36 for the Money!
Jing Gong Airsoft (JG), a Chinese Airsoft Manufacturer, has been producing some very impressive Airsoft Guns lately. Mostly TM and CA Clones, Jing Gong has raised the bar on producing the sub-$200 airsfot gun, with some models coming in right around the $100 range. The Jing Gong MK36 (G608) is no exception to this line of quality airsoft gun. Priced under $120, this Airsoft gun is worth every dime.
When you first observe the gun you'll notice there is nothing flashy about the packaging, which is typical of the Jing Gong airsoft gun product line. Once you open the ordinary black box you'll realize there is nothing boring about this gun. The Jing Gong G608 is a great clone of both the TM and CA MK36, MX, & SR36 airsoft rifles. Jing Gong insists you can use any TM, SRC, or CA part on this AEG, but we recommend reviewing the various on-line forum posts. We have confirmed that the TM, SRC, and CA airsoft magazines will work in this gun.
The package comes with everything you need to get started: 8.4v 1100maH mini-battery, wall charger, Hi-Cap magazine, a starter supply of BBs, a manual, and a clearing rod. The gun itself weighs in at 6lbs 1oz (Gun, battery, and empty magazine), and is very well-balanced. It is built out of heavy-duty Nylon ABS plastic and has a solid folding stock for CQB situations. The overall body design is tight, with minimal seams, and no wobble. Metal parts include: flash hider, iron sights, selector switch, and charging handle. The battery fits into the foregrip, which is easily removed by pulling out a single metal pin and sliding forward. The foregrip space is pretty tight so you might be limited to a 1400mah battery without the use of an external PEQ box.. We only tested with the included battery. The weapon sports a top and bottom weaver rail for mounting your favorite airsoft gear. Over all, the build, durability and design are pretty close to the higher end TM, SRC, and CA MK36, MX36, and SR36 Airsoft electric guns.
The Jing Gong MK36 G608 comes with a 470-round high-capacity wind-up type airsoft magazine. It's constructed of solid ABS plastic and has the stackable pegs on both sides so you can clip another magazine to it. This is great for quick magazine changes in the heat of battle. The airsoft magazine that comes with this AEG is TM compatible.
The MK36 G608 comes with an adjustable hop-up. The hop-up is set by pulling back the charging handle to expose the hop-up wheel. The hop-up dial has a solid, yet smooth feel to it. From what we've observed the hop-up stays set and is not prone to going out of adjustment due to vibration, use, etc.
On this model Jing Gong uses metal gears and metal bushings (earlier models had plastic bushings). Additional internals include a plastic spring guide and a plastic, vented piston head (for a better O-ring seal). The result is consistent FPS (see G608 performance testing below). The rest of the internals are identical to the TM MK36 and SRC SR36 model. The wiring is 16 gauge.
G608 AIRSOFT PERFORMANCE
(Note: all of our performance testing was done with TSD .2g BBs) - The Jing Gong MK36 is louder than most, but we prefer that because it tends to intimidate on the skirmish field. We ran this gun through the Guarder 2000 Chrono. How did it do? FPS ranged from 350 to 365 feet per second (FPS), and rate of fire was around 900 rounds per minute. Accuracy is decent out to about 125 feet, and the hop up holds a flat trajectory when set properly. We were easily able to hit a soda can at 125-150 feet. Use of .23g or .25g BBs may increase the accuracy of this airsoft gun. We shot four full magazines through the G608, varying the Semi and Full-Auto setting. We only had one gearbox lock up, which was easily remedied by putting the gun on full-Auto and firing off a few rounds to line the gears back up. Overall handling is a dream. It's no wonder the Airsoft MK36 design is enjoying so much popularity these days. We can't wait to take it out on the skirmish field!

Comments and experiences with the Jing Gong G608 airsoft gun?
Love the products! Very easy to purchase. All toys arrive well packaged.
This looks like a pretty sweet gun, any idea how long the battery lasts?
Depends on how you shoot. Lots of full auto bursts will drain it faster than semi-auto single shots. I've shot about 4-5 full mags through it before I noticed the battery starting to crap out.
Also, on full auto, according to the video review it shot bursts of 10 then 10 more etc.... will this gun shoot 50 shots in a row or do u have to rewind like every 8 shots?
Oh one more thing, what kind of battery is it? (nimh or nicd)
If you fully wind the magazine you can shoot most of the BBs with a single trigger pull. no 10 round burst limitation. However, I would not recommend holding the trigger down for more than 3-5 seconds at a time or your motor will burn out.
The Battery is NiMh, and the clip holds 470 BBs.
Hey Mark,
What are you talking about....it's a 350-360FPS Airsoft gun. Not sure where you got 150-165 or even 168-172FPS. Are you sure your refering to the right airsoft gun? I encourage you to ask other people about this....the Jing Gong G608 Shoots 350+ FPS, bottom line. It's the same as the Echo1.
Sorry about the stuff before, this gun shoots at AT LEAST 360 and possibly 390 (didnt chrono it yet) BUT IT IS AMAZING!!! I had an airsoft war with it today and I held down 3 of my friends, broke skin on one of my friends, brused up another, and freaked out the last one ^^. This gun is amazing and I'm sorry I ever critised you. The only thing I don't like about it is the plastic gets scratched up if you use it as a BB sheild, but no biggie.
No worries Mark. Just make sure you guys are wearing eye protection.
Yea, we do. I even wear a full face when I'm airsofting with 350 FPS or more guns.
JG HAS BURST ON THE SCENE WITH VERY PROFESSIONAL AND SOLIDLY BUILT AEG'S. THE QUALITY OF THE NEW UPGRADED AEG'S IS VERY IMPRESSIVE. OTHER SO CALLED HIGH END BRANDS NOW HAVE TO PLAY CATCH UP. NEVER SAY MARUI CLONE. THE NEW JG'S ARE IN A CLASS ALL THEIR OWN.
I HAVE JUST BOUGHT THIS GUN FOR MY SON FOR CHRISTMAS BUT HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT AIR-SOFT, CAN ANY1 EXPLAIN TO RE AND UNLOAD THE GUN PLEASE...
Robbieeeee,
email me at sales@ontargetairsoft.com
I can answer any questions you have about that gun....I feel your pain as the Chinese manufacturer made some functional changes to that gun, but did not bother to update the directions. You are not the first to have problems getting started on that gun. It is however, and awesome gun!!!!
I have no idea how to put the battery into this gun, I know it's one of the four holes in the front and you need a screwdriver. But the instuctions are very vague.
Any help? What kind of screwdriver do I need ect. ?
No Screw driver required. There is a pin on the front grip (see picture above) that slides out. The front hand guard then slides off to expose the battery compartment.
Jeeze, thanks a lot. The manual said to use a screwdriver, so I got confused.
Thanks!
I Cannot figure out what pin you guys are talking about when you say remove pin and slide hand guard off. Which pin is it?
Right below the front site, about an inch or two down. If you look in the directions (page 7) it's item #4 on the diagram. They call it the "Lock Pin". If you need a photo copy of this diagram email me at: sales@ontargetairsoft.com
hey guys, ive had teh gun for about the year, when i charge the battery, put it in the gun, it doesnt shoot, the fuse is in perfect condition. the battery works! i dont know what it is. help?
OIFVETERAN speaks the truth in every case. Consequently, I don't need to answer them. Yaay.
lucassoft's battery question: can you try the battery in another gun? If it works OK there, it's the gun, otherwise it's the battery. If you don't have a NiMH battery, then it might be a shelf-life problem. I had a NiCd battery that was brand new but couldn't hold a charge for 24 hours.
Other ideas - you could look for a pellet-jam, or (worse) a jam in the mechanism: a chunk of swarf coming loose and locking the gears. Gah! Not fun.
Apart from lucassoft's problems, I've found it to be an extremely reliable and fun gun.
How long does it initially take to charge the 8.4 V 1100 Mah battery
gun is amazin im goin to an airsoft arena wit it soon
Hi there, i recently purchased a "two tone" version of this gun from www.actionhobbys.co.uk. Very impressed with the upgraded 350 fps! although, there is a problem with the 'lock pin'. it doesn't seem to keep the front hand grip in place, but im sure it can be sorted with a few minor tweaks.
hi i was wondering if u can buy like accessories like a supresor or low cap. clips
I have just started having a problem with my G608.
The BBs are feeding through the mag into the hop, but do not seem to be able to "push up" to the piston area to shoot the BB.
I have cleaned the mag, hop unit, lubed with Silicone GO 35, run oiled BBs through the mag and all seems OK with no problems. It is the mid cap, 470 round wind up.
The rifle has a fully charged battery, no jams, barrel is clean. It just seems to be the hop unit part not letting the BB all the way up. I have tried turning the hop all the way down, firing a shot and slowly working the hop higher, but to no avail.
Any ideas please to sort this out?
Scouse
there is a clip lke were you would put the battery on to what is this and what happens if you unplug it
@scouser
Maybe the hopup bucking has moved back and is blocking the feed tube. Time to strip the gun down and take a look at that hopup.
this gun is very awesome.... really usable for CQB game... thank for the nice review.
