Job Cut is happening allover the world and job recruitment sites are being uploaded with CV's by freshers and also by people who fear that they will lose their jobs. Financial conditions of many companies are worse. Vacancies being posted in job sites is having a huge decrease, and due to this there is a great demand for the few job offers that come up every now and then. Recruitment by Banks in India like State bank of India and Canara bank, Corporation banks are still going on in large numbers which made people believe that Government supported companies are more safer to work.

Satyam was the Third Best Employer and Recruiter in India and the news has come out that it had falsified its accounts and was a biggest fraud and this resulted in more than 53000 employees of this company on the verge of losing their jobs. Many of them have resigned and are looking for jobs. And the reality that many companies like this will be exposed in future , shows the hidden danger that awaitens employees and their families.

Employees in United States of America seems to be having a hard time and as per the report released this week by ADP National Employment U.S. private sector lost 693,000 jobs in December with small businesses, construction firms and manufacturers. Dubai and UAE are also reducing their staffs and many construction companies in UAE have stopped new projects for an indefinite period and asking skilled labourers and helpers in construction sectiors to go back to their countries. A latest report from Dubai said that allowing outsidersto workin Dubai is causing national wealth to flow to other countries and due to this Dubai is planning to give more opportunities to Dubai citizens. So the hopes of Gulf jobs are also fading away. There has been a huge cut in jobs in Dubai as per the latest information and many labourers are returning home increasing unemployment in India. There will be a stiff competition now between freshers and returning people. There is also a huge number of applications going to Government jobs as this is the main sector that has not been affected till now.

Export sector is expected to get a huge blow in 2009 and it is stated that atleast 10 million jobs will have to be cut off in India alone and causing people who work in this sector to lose their jobs. This is because exporting activities have decreased because of the financial problems in Developed countries like America. Textile sector is for the time being safer and Hospital jobs also will not be getting affected. Many people are trying to look for home based jobs like article writing or any kind of part time works which they can rely so that they wont be left out stranded if they are fired out of their offices by their boss.

Another important thing that students have to do while selecting their career is not to go for usual engineering as such careers opportunities are atpresent fading due to increase in workers who have same qualification. So lot of thinking is needed before you take the right career decision.
