While working as lifeguard or swimming instructor requires you specific skill in the application. Usually you are required to be certified in CPR/PR, AED, First Aid and Oxygen Administration.

Summer jobs for 16 year olds

During the summer, recreational parks usually have job openings for 16 year old teenagers. One of the recreational parks that hire 16 year olds teenagers are SixFlags. There are currently 18 Six Flags parks in 12 states in the United States. You can apply as costume character, food service attendant, janitorial team member, restroom attendant, rides attendant, usher, or washdown team member.

Some parks might also have internship program, where you can take part in market research to conduct surveys of their guests. Some of those available jobs are either seasonal or full time, depending on each Six Flags park.
