Joby Zivio Boom Bluetooth Headset
71
When I was at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this year, I got a chance to visit the Joby booth, where they allowed me a chance to try out the Zivio Boom, a Bluetooth Wireless Headset.
In fact, the company was giving away these things like popcorn. Of course, that always makes me suspicious when a company gives away their merchandise. However, sometimes it just means that a company has great confidence in their product, and if they give it away, word of mouth will spread of how good it is.
Well, let me be one of the first to spread the word about how good the Joby Zivio Boom is. I found that it paired up with my cellular phone quite easily, and the sound was quite clear.
Of course, you could say that about any Bluetooth headset, and I have found that it is hard to say anything new about any Bluetooth headset, as most of them look alike. What makes the Joby Zivio Boom different is that it has a boom microphone that extends out like an extendable radio antenna. It’s kind of a different look for a Bluetooth headset, and sort of makes you look more like a pilot than a pedestrian. Extending the boom is not necessary to have good sound on a call.
It charges via standard AC outlet or your computer’s USB port, and the basic kit come with both of those. In fact, the power adapter can simultaneously charge two USB devices at the same time, so you can charge up the Zivio and an MP3 Player at the same time. It has 10 hours of talk time and up to 200 hours of standby time. You can tap on the power button to see how much battery power is left.
Answering the phone is as simple as touch the side button, and the volume control buttons are also conveniently located there. It also has a voice-activated dialing and last number redial.
It has a wireless range of about 10 meters or 33 feet, and has custom fit for the ear. It uses interchangeable earpieces, pivoting ear buds, and even an optional ear loop that insure a customized fit. There are 3 scoop earpieces, 6 mushroom earpieces, 2 mushroom connectors, 2 ear loop magnets, and 2 ear loops.
You should be able to get the Zivio Boom on the My Zivio store site for about $129.95 in two colors: Mission Black or Marina Blue.

Great news for bluetooth user, it is convinient for user to use bluetooth headset but I feel people using them look funny as it seems as if they are talking to themselves.
