This Hub is merely to inform you of a mistake that I made. Please read so you don't get sucked in as well. I have been home and not working with an injury for several months. In April of this year, my husband brought me home something he found on the Internet regarding making money at home. I was excited and plunged right in. I should have been more careful. I am more that willing to admit that I was naive when I started out, this is written from a standpoint of a work at home Mom trying to earn some money. I have nothing against Joel Comm personally, I am just commenting on some of his methods that I feel are unethical. I am willing to look a little foolish if I can help someone else not get into the same trap.

When I got to My Internet Payday, I signed up immediately. After all it only cost me a dollar, what could I loose? How stupid could I have been it was only $1.00, there had to be a catch. Right on the first page is the symbol for the Better Business Bureau so I thought "this must be ok and safe". I should have done more checking, I jumped in head first with my blinders on. I signed up and began the study course. It was a lot of him giving lectures and he is not all that great a speaker to be honest. I started my blogs and joined Hubpages and was on my way. There was a lot of information but it became tedious very quickly. It didn't all apply to me so I began to get bored with it. Please understand there is something to be learned from him if you are willing, that is not my issue at all.

After about 3 or 4 weeks of listening to his lectures, I began to discover that I could learn the same things he was teaching on my own. Hubpages helped me tremendously, you can find a wealth of information in here for free and it is much more interesting to read. I began to study other blogs, ask my own questions and learned on my own, so I stopped going back to the website. I did very well on my own. I say this not to brag, but to make a point. One of my blogs after only 6 weeks became a "blog of note" in Blogger. I have 200 plus followers and I did that just learning things on my own. There are things to be learned from him if you are interested, just be careful of the website. I wish I had just bought one of his books, at least I would have known up front what it was going to cost me.

Well, guess what , last night as I was going over my bank account I noticed a charge for $78.64 from My Internet Payday. I was furious, I am on a budget and trying to earn money from home and now he is taking money from me. I called and there is nothing I can do about it. I am working with my bank but I doubt it will help. I didn't read the fine print. I made a mistake, please don't make it also.They say hind sight is 20-20, when I did check with the Better Business Bureau, I discovered that they have a B- rating, because they have had over 90 complaints filed with 39 of them considered serious. I did file a complaint and if they reimburse me I will be glad to post it.

Please learn from this:

1. Nothing is ever what it seems, do your investigating first before anyone gets a hold of your bank account information. I had to give it to pay the initial $1.00 and I should have deleted it after that. What he mainly preaches is about Adsense. From all that I have read and from the majority of people like me who are trying to make money and really need it to get by, it is very difficult to make a descent income from Adsense. Adsense disabled me for no apparent reason and that is something that he doesn't warn you about. There is nothing about that in the fine print.

2. When you sign up for anything, way down at the bottom of the page in very tiny print is something called Terms and Conditions.Read it and then read it again. I never looked at it, and in there it says, that after 7 days if I do not cancel the program that they will charge me $78.64 every month until I cancel. In order to cancel you must call them and do it over the phone. No wonder this guy is so rich, its not from Adsense its from ripping people off. Yes I should have looked, but I am sure that he is counting on the fact that most people won't and I consider this a ripoff. He is getting rich off of the wrong people. I was desperate for an income and he sold me. I realize that what he is doing is legal, but I don't think it is ethical.

3. Take advantage of Hubpages and you can learn everything you need to know and not spend a dime. There is no get rich quick ever! I didn't get the paycheck that was mentioned in 48 hours and now I have less money than when I started. Do your research. When I did investigate My Internet Payday on line, I linked to a couple pages of complaints from people who made the same mistake I did.
