With their eldest member only in his early twenties, the boy group is now one of the most famous bands in the vocabulary of children and teens, thanks mainly to the Disney Channel.

This young band of boys is composed of artists in their own right. Kevin plays lead guitar, and accompanies the band with backing vocals. Joe sings lead, while also playing some guitar and percussion. Nick provides vocals, plays rhythm guitar, plays the piano in some of their songs and also plays drums. Releasing about three albums, the brothers can not only perform but they also write their own songs. The band was first shown on the silver screen with Disney Channel’s Original Movie entitled “Camp Rock.” Not surprisingly, they played the role of band mates with Joe cast for the lead male role. Nick and Kevin Jonas both play the roles of guitarists in the band. The success of this movie prompted a sequel, where the brothers continue to play the role of a band, called “Connect Three.” An appearance of their youngest brother, Frankie Jonas, can be expected. The filming of this project will start sometime before the summer of 2009.

Following this, the brothers will be part of a new television series in the Disney Channel called “J.O.N.A.S.” Created by Michael Curtis and Roger Schulman, who did work with “Shrek”, the original pilot was about a group of musicians by day, but government spies at night. While a great idea, the story of the series was somehow replaced with that of a rock band who tries to live ordinary lives despite the attention and fame that attaches to popularity. This TV series is expected to come out in the middle of 2009.

While they are already family names in most households where there are teens or children, the Jonas Brothers success has even resulted for them to be counted as number 9 of the 2008 list for the richest pop scenes.
