It’s very easy to install Joomla by FTP; Juts few steps and you are ready to go.
I'll add pictures at the end so don't worry.

so what do we need?

1 – The most important – a Joomla web hosting (if you don’t have one read about the top 3 joomla web hosting and choose one)

2 – You need an FTP software – there are many FTP programs on the market, I’ll show few of them here and you choose the one you like.

FileZila - Free FTP open source software
Download File Zila
---------------------------
Direct FTP – Excellent FTP client
Download DirectFTP

3 – And off course you need the latest Joomla installation
Download the latest Joomla installation

ok, let’s go

There are few ways to upload Joomla to the server, I’ll show the one I use.

Step 1 - Extract the downloaded Joomla installation to your computer.
Step 2 – log in to your hosting account with the FTP software (usually you need to use the server name – this will be your domain name and the username + password)
step 3 – upload all the extracted files to the hosting

IMPORTANT:
You need to decide if you want Joomla to be installed on your domain or your sub domain, if you want in to be installed on your domain so upload the files to your root directory (www.yourdomain.com)
but if you want Joomla to be installed on your sub domain then create a sub domain and upload all the file there (subdomain.yourdomain.com) or to a sub directory (www.yourdomain.com/joomla).

After you finished uploading Joomla to the server you need to create a MYSQL database.

Now You need Create a New MySQL Database in Your cPanel

step 1 - Log in to your cpanel account
step 2 - click on the “MySQL Databases” icon.

Step 3 - click on the link to “Add Database” and type in a name for the new database.

Step 4 - Click on the link to “Add User” and type in a user-name and password.

Step 5 - Assign the privileges necessary to gain access to your new database.

Ok, now your database is ready!
Now you can close the Cpanel and let’s to the next step: setting up your Joomla website!

Set up Your New Joomla Website

Step 1 – Start you web browser
step 2 - type in the web address of your Joomla installation (www. yourdomain.com or subdomain.yourdomain.com or www.yourdomain.com/joomla).
This brings you to the Joomla installation page.

Step 3 - now you need to enter information to configure your database.
For the hostname, use “localhost”
Enter your MySQL database name, => username and password.
For the MySQL prefix, use “jos_” .

If this is your very first Joomla installation, Click in the box to “Install Sample Data”, if you tried it before than you can skip it.

Step 4 - Click on “Next”.
Click on “OK” to confirm that all the information is accurate.

Step 5 - Enter your domain name and then click on “Next”.
Confirm your website’s URL, the pathname, email address and your password.

Step 6 - Use your FTP client to delete the installation directory (Joomla won’t load until you delete it).

Step 7 - After you deleted the installation directory, use your mouse to highlight all the configuration files.
Right-click and copy the highlighted files.

Step 8 - final step - Paste all the copied configuration files into the configuration.php file.

Congratulations!!!

your Joomla website is now installed!

Hi.

your tutorials was cool. Thanx man. We have seen many tutorials on how you can upload your files in into the cpanel, but no one has said anything on how you can upload your joomla site after you have designed it from your system. Could you give us a good and simple tutorials on how we can do it after we have done our designs in our system, pls?

Great tutorial.

In 'step 7 - set up you own joomla website' you say that you should copy and paste the configuration files. Do you have to do this? And what is the purpose for it? I set up my first Joomla site not so long ago and I am about to do another, I do not remember this final step though.
