What is Juice Fasting?

Juice fasting is an effective and scientific method for giving real benefits to the body and the health. In this kind of fasting nothing except fruit and vegetable juices is taken. Many expert dieticians give great importance to this kind of fasting.

The obvious purpose of juice fasting is to regain health by giving rest to the digestive system. Juice fasting eliminates the toxic and inorganic substances and bacteria from the body. As juice without roughage and fibers is easily digestible, the body has not to work hard for its absorption and assimilation. Juice begins to get absorbed in the body within 20-25 minutes after it is taken. Consequently, the body begins to acquire immediately the vitamins which increase the resistance power of the body against diseases. Besides, the mineral salts contained in juice neutralize the acidic elements in the blood. Then why should we not take the benefit of juices which supply the body without labor the elements necessary for the cure of disease?

Benefits of juice fasting

During juice fasting, toxic substances in the body begin to burn and this burning supplies heat to the body. Though the body has an accumulation of fats and carbohydrates, the body has a nature to burn first the toxic substances. The reason for this process is that though the juices contain vitamins, minerals and enzymes in abundance, the heat-giving substances are in meager proportion. During fasting the combustion of toxic substances automatically supplies the required heat to the body.

The excretory process of the body is stimulated during juice fasting. Undesirable elements in the body are eliminated through kidneys, the skin and the lungs. During the preliminary stages of juice fating, there is foul-breathing, urine is dark and the body perspires profusely. But soon a stage is reached when the body becomes purified. Thereafter breathing, urine and perspiration attain their original condition.
