Juicer Recipes to Eat More Fruit

Updated on March 25, 2010

Everything you happen to eat affects your body and your health greatly. Eating just a few pieces of fruit a day will have a great effect on your body and following a habit of eating five fruits a day for two weeks will get you hooked. You'll have tasty fruit juices made of various fruits and your body will love you for it. Isn't it a good deal?

There are a few excuses people who are afraid of eating vegetables and fruits come up with. This article covers a few of the most common ones and gives a tasty recipe using papaya and orange.

It's not the season of fruit X. This one strangely enough often comes up as an excuse to avoid fruits. Virtually any supermarket will have a fruit stand full of exotic species even in the middle of the winter. Banana, mango and coconuts are always in season.

Fruits take too much time to chop and peel and they just don't worth the time one has to put into preparing a salad. I've heard this before and I honestly don't think these people believe what they say. Chicken wings and fish sticks take just as much time to prepare only they're not as healthy and you've had them probably a hundred times already. Try some fruits, they don't bite.

The kids won't eat fruit or vegetable. There is just no way putting them on the family table. Kids eat everything they see their parents eat. Show a good example, eat healthy.

Juicer recipes are rather easy to make and taste so good you'll never think about missing them from your daily meal ever. No specific portions and dozens of ingredients, no cooking time, nothing to keep in mind. You can literally go on and throw in fresh foods into the juicer and have a great result.

Here is a simple recipe to get you started. For four people you will need four oranges, a papaya, four cups (30-32 oz) of yogurt, and a tablespoon of lemon juice. Use any kind of yogurt you like, plain yogurt will be fine but any flavor will go with these fruits.

Peel the fruits and put them into the juicer. When you have an even pulp add the yogurt and lemon juice and keep mixing. If you find the result thick add cold water before serving. That's all

Preparing is rather simple, peel the orange and the papaya, and put them into the mixer. Mix until you get an evenly distributed pulp. Add yogurt and the lemon juice and mix until it's smooth and solid. If you find the juice too thick use some cold water to dilute before serving.
