A Day Visiting Angkor Wat

Even though 1 day is tough for traveling to visit the whole temple area of Angkor Wat but at least, I can made to some of the main temple. It is very important to book a plan ticket a few days or a few week before the traveling day to verify all the necessaries thing before the actual day visit.

If you knew some friends or have relatives up there you don't have to worry just check with them so you can have their home for 1 or 2 night stay and maybe they can tour you around etc. If it is not applicable then just book a room at the guest house or one of the hotel that you like.

For 1 or 2 days is really not enough to tour Seam Reap and the Angkor Wat temple, for there are many temples to check out. For more information of how to visit Seam Reap you can read the guiding from the lonely planet guide book. It's a helpful stuff to know...

Last Sunday, I flew to Seam Reap with 3 of my friends and this is a business trip to though, then we arrived there at 1:30pm and continue on the van to check in at the hotel. In this whole afternoon we just rest until 4:30pm. At 4:45pm we took the van to the Angkor Wat just tour around but didn't stop to walk in to any temple or place just stay in the van. Then at 6:30pm we went to this restaurant called the Amazon Angkor where they have buffet dinner for $6/pax which you have to call and book first. For foreigner who walk in they will charge you $12/pax no matter what. For local people like me is always $6

While I was enjoying my dinner buffet, just before 7:30pm I could hear the music and suddenly a voice to introduce the dancing group where they performed the first dance performance for that night followed by a several more performances.

Then the next day we made it by 8am to leave the hotel for Angkor Wat visit and it is really cool visiting Angkor Wat in the early morning. However, we have to continue to walk from temple to temples to see the different view where many beautiful ancient are waiting for us to see them. Until lunch time, we came to have lunch just right in front of the Angkor Wat temple where they serve many kind of foods for all type of tourists to enjoy. After lunch we went to see more temple. Oh my God, just one day is really not enough to spend seeing all these nice places.

I remember, along the way back in front of the main entrance of Angkor Wat there was a man selling the palm juice where many people stop and have a drink of this tasty juice. I recommend you to see this golden land sometime in your life. Make it more meaningful and adding few more years to increase you life then visiting Angkor Wat haha. :)
