Movie Review #3 * * * * Stars

This has got to be the most underestimated movie I have ever seen. Again, I heard bad things about this movie so I was reluctant to waste my money. But after reading an article by Stephen King (who I greatly admire) who saw the movie and gave it two thumbs up, I just had to go see it. Keep in mind I have not read the book before the movie and I know many people wound up hating the film because it was nothing like the book. So if you have not read Steven Gould's Jumper go see it. Rent it. Buy it. There has never been a story like this ever. It keeps you on your toes and the movie is unpredictable. I have heard rumors of a sequel, but it may have been washed out from bad box office sales. I can't imagine why this movie bombed like it did.

The only thing I didn't care for was Samuel L. Jackson. I'm not saying he isn't an awsome actor but I think he was wrong for the part. Someone a little more understated and bossy would have fit better with the story I think. Other than that Doug Liman did a great job directing. He realy knows how to put the viewer in the movie. Great action! And for you guys with gals there is even a dash of romance so both of you could have a great movie night at home.

For an even greater movie experience I reccomend before you see Jumper that you read or download an audio version of Steve Gould's prequel to the movie called Griffin's Story. Not suitable for ages under thirteen this story will introduce you to this dangerous, high paced world through the life of one of the characters in the film. An absolute must if you have already seen the movie and like it as much as I have. So after you have done all this come back here and tell the rest of us what YOU thought of it.
