The very basic tip for jumping higher is to do exercises that strengthen the legs. Common leg exercises include toe raises, leg raises, knee bends, and toe presses. Doing these exercises consistently will improve the conditioning of your legs and at the same time strengthen them, thus enabling you to jump higher. A lot of hard work, patience, and perseverance is necessary if one wants to see some improvement on this skill. Many would probably quit on the first few sessions of doing these exercises but for those who persevere, the rewards are great. They dominate the game and they are the ones who are liked by many since they will be the ones with the most showmanship. They know how to play above the rim and they leave their defenders on the ground.
