Windows

I can see through those windows.  Those windows, of stained glass.  Windows lit from within.

Glowing not by candle light. A stronger light, though soft and warm.  The flame unwavering.

Bright and embracing.  Like the embers of a fire, newly re-kindled.  Nurtured by the breath of a kindred heart.

The rise of spark into flame.  A fire fed by all passions within.  Passion for life, for love.

Comfort is there, acceptance and patience.  I see into those windows.  Those windows of stained glass.

The color of the sky.  The sparkle of sapphire and clarity of crystal.  The depth of the sea.

Through those windows I feel warmed as by a fire.  Brightened by the life within.  Embraced by the warmth it holds.

Through those windows I can see.  This is the place I want to remain.  Warmed by the light of that fire.

Revived and refreshed.  At peace, and so welcome.  Embraced by the fire of love.

I see this in your eyes.  Your windows of stained glass.  They are open to me.

I see the fire of your soul.  I feel the embrace of your heart.  I feel the warmth of your love.

Thanks Cris!  Speaking of warmth, bet it's hot there right about now!  I remember what it is like in the Phillipines in February!  (But that's another Hub!)

Anyway, I really hesitated to publish this.  I was urged to do so by the person it was written for.  My wonderful travel and soul mate, (Even though she squeals through the mountains more than the brakes on Vannadoon!)  I wrote it for her when we first got together.  (Kindamushy, huh?)

LOL As you will see, I edited that out. So I better put it back so folks don't think I am hiding anything. (Guess I better quit writing stuff with my filters off!) So, in hhonor of this new leaf, I repeat.

Thanks for not puking!

Oh, and Happy Bi-Polaring!

Well, been in the Phillipine sea, the South China sea, diving off the Caponi reef and Islands, and oh yah, and the beautiful pink beaches in Cebu. Pretty tastey waters, all around.

Yeah I've been to those places but I've neve heard of the Caponi reef. You should try coming back on the 2nd aquarter of the year, you'd definitely have enough sun to last you a lifetime. :D

Great imagery! I lived in Minnesota for over two years and I loved standing by the wood-stove, looking out the window on the world. Thanks for the nostalgia

Chris, the reef I mentioned is the one right off the island, and really not named, but I thought it was beautiful and that it should have a name!

Benjimester,  Thanks for stopping by for a read and a comment.  They were appreciated.  Glad it brought you back to Minnesota, if only for a moment.  I find this state beautiful, but real cold!  But I suppose there is a beauty in that as well.

We see deer from our front room window almost every night.  Anywhere from 5 to 11 animals at a time.  The most amazing thing is that for the last three years we have been watching one in particular.  A three legged deer that is accepted and cared for by the other animals.  Very heartwarming.  (I have been unable, to date, to get a picture of the creature however!)

Glad you enjoyed the verses.

Tatjana.  I knew I could count on a visit from you.  Thank you and welcome.  I am glad you enjoyed the poem.

To all, thankyou, and of course,

Happy Bi-Polaring!

I'm always up for an unconventional take on love poetry and this little gem of a poem takes the prize. Awesome how you contrast inner and outer light, talking on two levels simultaneously, delivered with utter directness and simplicity, well done! Blogging this on over to my poetry blog for others to enjoy, thanks for sharing it with us!

Thank you so much for all your kind words alekhouse. Glad you like the poem. Perhaps if I get my courage up, I will publish more. They are like my children, and they do have very sheltered lives! Harder for me to let them go than my Hubs for some reason. Guess maybe they are a bit more personal.
