James Watkins’ brilliant article titled “Partition America” needs to happen sooner rather than later.

In my recent hub “Obama Assassination Poll – Right Wing Plot!”, I ripped Democratic Strategist and Fox News Commentator Bob Beckel for assuming “Right Wing Extremism” was at the heart of a Facebook poll asking whether or not Obama should be killed. I finished the article stating that I would laugh my ass off if the perpetrator of the poll turned out to be a 12 year old instead of a Right Wing Nut. Well, I got my laugh.

Sources report that a juvenile was determined to have published the poll on Facebook. No charges were filed against the child or the child’s parents. The mainstream media appears to be very sheepish about reporting this, as all articles I have read are very short and devoid of any commentary, unlike the original articles reporting this dastardly deed. So, I got my laugh, but it died in my throat as I read some of the comments on one of the websites. The following comments were made on the website “The Raw Story”.

· More importantly, 730 people voted on this site. Those that voted "yes" should be arrested and charged sedition. Moreover, FaceBook should be fined and charge with complicity for allowing this up on their site.
Either we are a country of laws or we aren't. This is advocacy of the death of the President of the US by those that voted "Yes", plain and simply. IT IS SEDITION.

Sedition as defined by the Smith Act is as follows: “knowingly or willfully advocate, abet, advise or teach the duty, necessity, desirability or propriety of overthrowing the Government of the United States or of any State by force or violence, or for anyone to organize any association which teaches, advises or encourages such an overthrow, or for anyone to become a member of or to affiliate with any such association.” The question does not advocate, abet, advise or teach the duty, necessity, desirability or propriety of overthrowing the government or any state by force or violence nor does it organize any association to do so. It is a freakin’ question.

By the way, the Smith Act also requires all non-citizen residents to register with the government. Fat chance.

· How about investigating the adults who responded " yes?"

WHY? To what end? For what purpose?

· Very disappointing decision by the Secret Service. The juvenile and his parents should have been prosecuted to the fullest. We cannot and should not allow the continued criticism of this president or the resultant culture of hate and violence to continue unpunished.

Oh by all means, throw anybody that criticizes this President into jail, or better yet, just cut off their damn heads!

· So this kid didn't maybe get this sort of language (killing the President) from his parents?

Also, it's pretty apparent the people who voted for anything but NO should be investigated.

But instead, we'll use our tax dollars to go after G-20 peaceful protesters and never EVER apply the same laws to TeaBaggers.

Did the Teabaggers have a poll and I missed it? Damn! Also, last time I checked the G-20 protestors were engaged in running battles with the police.

· Just exactly how old is this "juvenile"? The kids parents probably went out and bought "the child" a shiny new truck with gun rack option right after the Secret Service departed.

Attributing motives to the parents is out and out stupidity.

· Should this child and his parents be killed?

Oh Geez.

· Weren't the Columbine killers juveniles?

Wow, this person needs to be a lawyer! With these kind of arguments they could be in Family Law!

· How about the Secret Service "accidentally" leaks his name so all of us who are really incensed about this get to kick his ass flat?

Yup, definitely a statement that shines with liberty and justice for all.

Why? So they can kick your ass?

These comments ought to scare the hell out of you. This is blatant Fascism. Hitler would have loved these people. These same kind of statements were made in Nazi Germany. Don’t these people realize just what they are asking for? Don’t they realize that when they turn loose this kind of rhetoric that it can be turned on them? If one of my children had done this they would not have seen the internet until they were thirty. Bringing the Government of the United States to my door would have brought the wrath of God down on their heads. So, why do these people assume otherwise? Why is there a call for the prosecution of these parents as well?

Bob Beckel, relax. It appears you have a lot of company.
