K Cups

Single serve coffee makers are for people who want speed and convenience and a GOOD cup of coffee. They’re not going to fret that the cost of that single cup might be a bit more than one brewed from coffee straight out of the grocery’s giant discount can. That is, unless the single cup that was brewed tastes just like it was made from a discount brand. When sorting through the different one cup brewers, it will take a spreadsheet to list all their different features. But to get right down to it, the most important consideration is how the coffee tastes. Producing a GOOD cup of coffee should be the number one consideration. Uniformly, all reviews point to steadily consistent and flavorful coffee brewed by all Keurig machines.

The Availability of the Coffee

What coffee does the machine brew to produce that good cup? Does the machine use pods or another type of packaged coffee like K-Cups or capsules? If you buy a one cup system, will you be able to get coffee easily? What about the availability and freshness of your favorite brew? Some one cup machines only offer limited options when it comes to coffee choices while others carry a broad variety of roasts. K-cups can be purchased directly in several department and specialty stores, as well as on line. Additionally, they may be on the shelf of your local grocery soon.

The Economy of the One Cup Machine

You only brew what you’re going to drink. If you throw out partial pots of stale, scorched tasting coffee, then the one cup machine will be more economical in the long run. You can have all the variety that you want. If you enjoy tasting different roasts and blends or like a flavored coffee mid-morning or at the end of the day, you can try this one and that one without any significant expense. If you had to buy 9 or 12 ounce bags of whole coffee beans of each blend or roast that caught your eye, imagine the strain on your grocery budget. And how long would those bags stay fresh? What if the blend that sounded so intriguing, once brewed into a pot, wasn’t what you’d hoped and ended up like so many other expensive pots of coffee gone stale – dumped down the drain.

The Variety Of Coffee Choices

With a Keurig One Cup coffee maker, you can select from an endless variety of coffees from respected roasters and induge yourself. You can sample new roasts, new flavors or types of coffee – to find ones that really hit the spot. And if you look at it like a mathematician, with over 200 selections available in K-Cups, you can start each day with an old favorite or try something new for about ⅔ of the year.

In case you need a really strong cup of coffee to get going in the morning, the new Extra Bold Roast K-cups contain 30% more ground coffee for each brew. Dark coffee roast lovers will find these K-Cups are the perfect choice for a strong, full-bodied cup. Try Newman’s Own Fair Trade Organic Extra Bold or Green Mountain Sumatran Reserve Extra Bold.

There is such a wide selection of coffee in K-Cups that you’re sure to find many old favorites and discover new ones. All are from top notch roasters like Green Mountain Coffee, Timothy’s, and Tulleys. Gloria Jean, Diedrich Roasters, and Van Houtte are also well represented with some of their most popular blends. Then, there are teas from Twinings, Bigelows, and Celestial Seasonings, as well as cocoa from Emeril and Timothy’s,

The K-Cup is a unique mini-brewing system packaged in each little container. An exact amount of fresh ground, 100% Arabica coffee is packaged and then passed through a nitrogen flush to remove any oxygen. Next, it’s sealed with a foil lid, which locks in the freshness and flavor and shuts out oxygen, light and humidity. To let you know just how fresh your K-Cups are, a ‘use by date’ is stamped on each one. If you’re a real coffee lover who wants that first cup QUICK, and you like VARIETY, it’s worth it to buy a Keurig One Cup brewer just to use the K-Cups!
