KFC chicken recipe secrets are probably the most guarded secrets in the restaurant industry.  The famous KFC secret recipe is probably one of the most famous secret recipes known to man.  For years, businesses and individuals alike have been trying to replicate the delicious recipe from Kentucky Fried Chicken. 

Since the actual recipe has never been replicated, we will discuss some of the chicken recipes that I think closely resemble the famous secret chicken recipe.  Popeyes is a growing chain throughout the United States.  I think their fried chicken is possibly just as good as KFC.  Their delicious chicken is a worthy competitor of the secret chicken recipe.  Besides their traditional fried chicken, they also carry various other entrees including spicy chicken fingers, chicken sandwiches, and value menu items. 

The chicken at Kroger grocery stores also closely resembles the KFC chicken recipe.  Their delicious chicken can be found at virtually all of their stores across the country.  Their popular chicken is just as good as KFC any day.  If you don’t have Kroger stores in your local area, I encourage you to check out your local grocery store.  They often serve fried chicken that is similar to KFC and it is probably cheaper than the restaurant. 

Another restaurant that has great fried chicken is Hardees.  Depending on where you live, some of the Hardees restaurants may not carry fried chicken.  I think their fried chicken is almost as good as KFC, and their fried chicken is usually cheaper too.  In my hometown, KFC and Hardees sit next door to each other, and Hardees chicken is always cheaper.
