Tamil Director Velu Prabakaran is known for controversial themes in his films. His Tamil film 'Kadhal Arangam' stars the sexy new actress Sherley Dass. Sherly has posed and acted in some semi nude scenes in this movie. So, the Censor board of India has not provided the certificate and the film cannot be released. The film 'Kadhal Arangam' did not show Sherley Das in the nude, but only as topless actress. The Indian Censor Board banned the film Kadhal Arangam citing that the movie has many scenes that talk about sex in the family and nudity has been emphasized. Kadhal Arangam movie was launched nearly 3 years ago with a new face Tamil actress Sherly Dass in the lead role. Tamil heroine Sherly Dass appeared nude in 5 scenes in the film andreportedly there were two sex scenes also in the film.

This film was completed four years ago and the producers are unable to release the movie as Censor has not given the certificate. The film could not be released. Director Velu took Kadhal Arangam movie to the Delhi tribunal for review. Many of the board members objected to the abrupt nudity and sexual intercourse of the hero and heroine. Finally they decided to reject the certification for Kaadhal Arangam and recommended the Government to ban the film from being screened anywhere in India.

Director says Sex is not a sin. This is not an underground or ameteur blue film. Whenever we try to hide sex from young people, they will eventually get their way and get exposed to it in other ways. So we should be open about it to everybody that is the root story of the movie.
