Any discharge that is white or grayish-white calls for Kali Mur or potassium chloride. This indicates the second stage of congestion – whether in the nose, throat or lungs. The first stage is usually a clear, watery discharge and the third stage is a yellowish discharge. This salt is very useful for congestion in the chest, particularly for congestion in infants.
