Powered by a liquid-cooled, double overhead cam 749cc V-twin engine, the Vulcan 750 is high-powered and low-maintenance. Hydraulic valve lash adjusters ease maintenance and liquid cooling increments overall engine durability. Plus, the engine itself is rubber-mounted within the double-cradle, high-tensile steel frame to lower vibration at the handlebar and footpegs.

A low-maintenance shaft drive transmits ability from the five-speed transmission to the beefy 15-inch rear wheel. Plus, the easy-shifting gearbox characteristics Kawasaki's undivided Positive Neutral Finder, which enables for leisurely and accurate shifting from foremost into neutral when stopped. Air-assisted rear shocks with four clicks of rebound damping adjustment propose a still and controlled ride, while duple front discs provide reliable stopping power. Full instrumentation, including both coolant-temperature and fuel-level gauges, and a centerstand are normal fare.

Moving with the flow of the traffic is very important as statistics bear out many accidents occur when the rider/driver "is moving at a slower velocity than the flow of traffic". 750cc's is a bit innovative as far as ability for a total beginner, although it does not take terribly long to learn how to control it, anyway. Most insurance underwriters provide estimates on motorcycles with decrease costs adequate to 750cc. CONS: Compared to some other motorcycles on the market, seat height (27.5 inches from the ground) might be a bit a bit too high if the separate is beneath 5'-8".

With a ground clearance of only beneath 6 inches (150 mm), there're suspension modifications that may be performed to "drop the frame" (lower) an inch or so. These include aftermarket shocks and/or fork springs. Some have also cut the front fork springs or spacers (inside the tubes) although this greatly affects ride quality and suspension behavior beneath difficult braking. Cutting the spacer is tricky, since you should forever keep some preload on the fork spring (you do not want it banging into the boss of the fork tube cap when the suspension goes via radical travel compression). Shaving some of the seat foam in the seat is another option, although comfortableness is compromised by this action.
