Every morning my three year old Tortie shell cat, Kaylee wakes me up with a persistent "Meoooooooowwww!!" And she doesn't stop crying until I march my tired self into the exercise room of the house. She lays on the floor stretching along side me while I prepare for the day's five mile run. She serenely lays by the door of the room while I run on the tread mill.

Once I step off the machine, she will cry at me until I get back to running. Otherwise she's totally silent. She also keeps our one year old black labrador retriever mix, Krypto at bay. She's in charge of the pets, we also have a calico cat named Sunshine. I call Kaylee eight pounds of fury or the "alpha pet" of the house. Its a sight to behold watching a sixty pound dog bullied by an eight pound cat!!

So I started calling her my "personal trainer" since this is an every day occurence. She defintely keeps me on track with my fitness schedule. She's always there to remind me to work out. I think I need to invest in a little kitty sweat band for Kaylee. And maybe a pair of matching leg warmers!!
