Kei Cars and Kei Trucks - The Types Available

Last time I wrote about Kei Cars was just the basics, and I didn't go into too much detail about what kinds of keijidosha vehicles are out there. There are as many types of Kei Cars as there are full sized autos. One type that you see all over Japan is the delivery Kei Truck. These small trucks have a two seat cab, and a long bed. They're used for deliveries for any type of cargo, because the small roads make using a large Peterbilt style truck difficult. The truck beds usually fold out to make putting cargo on more easy.
Besides the commercial applications of Kei Cars the consumer segment is very competitive and popular as well. As they are small 2 seat cars, a sporty style is easy to apply to the platform. These cars have the style and luxury that you're looking for in a very compact package. And finally, the minivan style. Like all Kei Cars it is a 2 seater, but has a relatively large storage in the back. Many of the newer Kei Cars are hybrid as well for extra gas mileage, on top of their normal 35mpg plus city ratings.
Some Kei Cars are made to look like and have body kids to make them look like vehicles such as the old Volkswagen bus. Kei Cars are also modified for racing as well.
Below are some pictures of the many types of Keijidosha.
