150 miles south of Miami, and about 90 miles to Havana Cuba, you'll find the small island community of Key West. The southernmost point in the continental United States, Key West has some of the most unique Florida wedding venues.

Only 4 miles long by 2 miles wide, Key West is a little island with a lot to offer. Perhaps a little pricier than most places in Florida, there are plenty of venues in Key West that can be affordable, if not absolutely free. If you are looking for Florida wedding venues that are the 'same old thing', Key West probably isn't for you. But if you are looking for Florida wedding venues that are unique, exciting, romantic and fun... take a trip down US 1. But, don't forget about the rest of the Florida Keys... there are some great Florida wedding venues down this long island chain as well.

Being that Key West is a resort town, there are plenty of hotels (big and small) however, do not count on providing your guests with an economical place to stay. If price is a concern, try booking your wedding in Key West during shoulder seasons or during the summer when rates drop considerably. Also, consider renting a vacation rental as an alternative for lodging.
