Keys To Creating Good Habits
54Becoming Better
At certain points in our lives we find ourselves refelecting on being better or at least not as bad. The new year usally starts with all kinds of resolutions to do thing differently, get better at something, be more successful, make more money, find true love and a host of other human needs that we feel we should be doing to become better.
Most of us miss the mark and generally return to our old ways or more correctly old habits. Habits are those actions that we have become very familiar with, we are comfortable doing them, we are confident that we can do them; bad or good, it does not really matter, they are familiar and familiar feels good.
we are our habits, so if you really want to change for the better, considering developing new habits.
- Focus on the Positive - Let your mind run free with the potential of all the good things that could come out of developing the new habit. We often destroy our chances at success, by thinking of all the things that can go wrong.
- Believe That You Will Succeed - Belief is the essence of Creation. Belief is where all reality starts and ends.
- Get Positive Help - Find people who are supportive and want to see you succeed. If you encounter negative people, view their disbelief as a challenge, use the energy to inspire and reward yourself as you move closer to your goals.
- See yourself succeeding - Visulize the best, banned thoughts like "worst day ever" and replace it with best second, minute, hour and continue ot wowrk your way up to "Best Life Ever"

Not An Exact Science
How does fear of change manifest when creating new habits? When you start creating new habits, fear will hit pretty hard, depending on your personality, you may find yourself insisting on specifics that you know you will never find. excuses that seem to validate keeping the old habit and many time wasting activities that keep you from moving forward. When this occurs, step outside yourself and laugh, see the bahavior for what is it and laugh at it the way you would if you were watching a sitcom on tv.
One of my favorites quotes goes something like this; "if you want to predict the future, create it yourself".
