You can find keywords using free services like Google Keyword tool, but as I go for precision I prefer using Keyword Elite.

Get the most common keywords that describe your business or website. It does not matter what your website is about.

For example, if your website is about taking piano lessons, then the keyword that describes your website should be "piano lessons". When you type this keyword in a search engine, like Google, then it will bring up all the pages that have this keyword.

2- Get Low Competition Keywords

If your aim is to find the right keyword for your website, then choose a keyword that has low competition. Use Google to find such keywords. Type the desired keyword with quotation marks, and if the Google search engine says that the search results are 100,000 pages then you are in great luck. Pick up these keywords to use!

3- Add them Now!

Once you are sure of the keywords you want, you can add them to your website. These keywords should appear in the main content and throughout the body of the text. The search engine would know under what keywords your website ranks while you are promoting the website. While creating links for your website, make sure the keywords are present.
