Keyword Tracking
58Did you know that in traditional advertising, over 50% of the money you spend is waste?
But most people don't realize that in Pay-Per-Click advertising, it's much worse!
PPC is a very sexy, alluring method of advertising, because you can get prospects almost instantly, as soon as you set up a campaign in Google or Yahoo.
But the dirty little secret Google and Yahoo aren't sharing with you is that 50%-90% of the keywords that you are bidding on are as good as baby poop (I'd use an expletive here, but children may be reading this!)
So you must be extremely careful of how you set up your campaign so that you don't do it like everyone else.
What ever you do, don't do this:
1. Load your adwords account with keywords you got from some software.
You need to pick with care the keywords you think will attract your ideal customers, and match that traffic to a relevant advertisement that they first see, and match the traffic to relevant content on the landing page that they first arrive at.
2. Measure your success by looking at how much you spent and how much you made, and then make important business decisions on these aggregate results.
You need to be able to drill down and track your sales (or whatever else you are measuring) down to the keyword level. You must be able to see what keywords you are bidding on resulted in you making money.
These are the gold keywords that have proven to convert, so you should try to generate as much traffic from these... perhaps even create some search engine optimized pages with content relevant to these keywords on your website to get free traffic.
You also must be able to see what keywords you are bidding on that are losing you money. These are only generating negative ROI and should be dealt with ASAP by deleting them, or turning them off in your PPC account.
This simple act of measuring and observing can mean the difference between profitable and losing PPC campaigns!
Up until now, there was no tool that could do this. To watch a free video on keyword tracking, and how 4 simple lines of code on your webpage can start saving 50% in your PPC costs, make sure you visit http://www.keywordradar.com/
Good luck in your PPC adventures!
