Kid Rock

Kid Rock

Kid Rock is possibly the best solo artist ever. One of my favorite things about him is he knows how to keep a little bit of himself in his music. He makes all his songs his own by keeping his Michigan country boy and mixing it in with a little hip-hop. His song “Forever” describes his music perfectly with lyrics like “I make punk rock and I mix it with the hip hop”.

"Roll On" - Kid Rock

Kid Rock’s first album, Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast, came out in 1990. His next album didn’t come out until 1993, it was called, The Polyfuze Method. The next year he published, Fire It Up. But after another record deal switch up, is wasn’t until 1996 when he released his forth album, Early Morning Stoned Pimp.

In 1998, Kid Rock finally came out with his fifth album, Devil Without A Cause. This is the record that finally got him enough attention. It sold 11 million copies. But he kept making more music and two years later the album, The History of Rock. This album had remixes and new versions of his previous songs.

"All Summer Long" - Kid Rock

Finally, my favorite Kid Rock album, Cocky! This is by far his best music album ever! But after it sold 4 million copies his next album, self titled, didn’t produce a major hit. But Kid Rock kept his head held high and released his eighth album, Live Tucker, a greatest hit album in 2006.

This year, Kid Rock produced my favorite song of all time, it is on his latest album, Rock N Roll Jesus, and it is called “All Summer Long”. This is by far his best song and currently my favorite song. It has the same music as Warren Zevon’s song “Werewolves of London” but it is a thousand times better, just because of the lyrics and Kid Rock’s awesome singing.

"Picture" - Kid Rock Featuring Sheryl Crow

Although Kid Rock has tons of great songs, I have to say, these are his top ten best songs:

1. “All Summer Long”

2. “Only God Knows Why”

3. “Picture” featuring Sheryl Crow

4. “Midnight Train To Memphis”

5. “You Never Met A White Boy Quite Like Me”

6. “Roll On”

7. “Cocky”

8. “Baby Come Home”

9. “Cowboy”

10. “Forever”

Kid Rock never ceases to amaze me. He just has that sense of music in is soul, I can tell it is what he was born to do. He just flows and has a rhythm with the music he produces. I hope Kid Rock never stops making music because it would be a waste to all that talent if he did.

What is your favorite Kid Rock song?

  • All Summer long
  • Only God Knows Why
  • Picture
  • Midnight Train To Memphis
  • You Never Met A White Boy Quite Like Me
  • Roll On
  • Cocky
  • Baby Come Home

Another great hub. I like his music style too, especially the good ole country boy, southern rock style. He was definately born w/ music in his vains, his dad is Hank Williams Jr and his grandfather Hank Williams Sr. Nonetheless he made his own mark in music.

I have seen Kid Rock perform live twice in the past 2 years and he was outstanding. His 2008 album is also one of the best new releases this year.
