A very touching story that as of recently has not seen the light of day for 18 years. A Jaycee Dugard was kidnapped at the age of 11 and has not been seen or heard from since. Of course the assumption is that after about 48 hours from a kidnapping case police and everyone else have to assume the child is dead or long gone. Of course after a long time trying to cope with it her parent finally accepted that they would never see their daughter again. She was abducted on June 10th, 1991 by 2 people in a gray Sedan. 18 years later she was found luckily, thanks to the abilities of officers to notice something was wrong.

Jaycee Dugard was taken within a few short blocks from her home. She was heading to the bus stop when she was just thrown into a gray sedan and not seen for 18 years. This really hits home because well, it was so close to her home. It goes to show that bad things really can happen even this close to home. Be careful, don't suffocate your kids but do be careful with them when no one is watching because it seems to me as if something like this could just as easily happen to anyone else.

The men that kidnapped her apparently raped her and kept her in a tent behind their house. They weren't very conscious about how they did it either as she gave birth to two children in their backyard. All of this without ever visiting a doctor or hospital. So these children only know life within these men's back yard and a scared to death young woman. This is a horrible situation to be in and I can't even imagine being forced to do some of the things these men could have done or what they actually did do even.

The men got caught because one wanted to hand out fliers in a nearby campus, while doing this he thought it would be a good idea to bring his two daughters along. Police took instant notice to these children they have never seen and with this man that one of them was sure was a convicted sex offender, they decided to look into it. Alas he was a convicted sex offender and this was reason enough for him to be arrested seeing as how according to his records does not have a daughter. So they came to his house and it was to their horror what they would find in their backyard.

I couldn't even imagine thinking that my daughter was dead for 18 years and then finding out she was alive. Though all of the things that happened to her but at least she would be alive, I would definitely cry. Of course that is what Jaycee Dugard's parents did, they said they cried for like at least 10 minutes together when they first found out about their daughter.

What would you do in this situation? How would you handle this kind of a situation for the daughter or the mother!? They are all brave people and I pray that they can all lead normal lives after one person decides to make the world a horrible place like this.
