Do you find that every time you try to go outside and work in the yard that your kids start bothering you and won't let you work? Why not get them involved in the process? If they are involved then they will let you work and they will learn some valuable life skills.

How do I get my kids involved you ask? Well, start by giving them their own garden space. Let them turn over the dirt or shovel in the topsoil and let them pick the flowers or vegetables they want to grow!

Once you help them plant their garden explain to them to that everday when you go outside to work in the yard that they have to go outside and take care of their garden. They need to water and pick the weeds and fertilize.

They will more than likely take a lot of pride in their little area of the yard and want to show everyone who visits!

Another way to get them interested in gardening is to buy them their own gardening tools. Kids gloves, shovels, and watering cans will by well received by little ones. They can follow behind you watering plants and can pick weeds for you!

Kids just want to be included in what you are doing...so instead of telling them to go play, get them involved!

Involving children in gardening is a great idea, a little patch of their own maybe.
