Amazon has finally released the International version of the Kindle. This is a must have for many people who live or travel outside of the United States. I did see this at Amazon before it was released. This does not effect me because I am a US Citizen and don't travel outside of the United States.

I am still happy to see that this is available as many people I have met online were not able to purchase the kindle because it was not compatible with their area. What I mean by that is that their area was not covered. Now it is in most areas.

My best advice to anyone that is planning on getting one is to double check to make sure they your area is covered. Just because it is international does not mean each and every area is covered. Some areas could be a bit spotty on coverage. There is a map over at amazon that covers that information.  All of the features except for the international feature is available on my kindle 2 hub.
