Kiosk Hosting is evolving.

All existing Kiosk Hosting customers are now becomming GVO Hosting customers, as founder, Joel Therien, and friends "re-launch" the company's flagship products under the new nameplate that has an entirely new commission payout structure for those involved with the affiliate reseller (network marketing) program. Having said that, this article is about my review of these services, having been with Kiosk for several years as a customer, and in "Joel's" own personal matrix.

What Made Kiosk Better.

I signed up for Kiosk Hosting initially because I wanted to host unlimited domain names and not have to worry about running out of bandwidth. At the time I was using two other hosting companies, and since that time, I have tried several others. Now I use Kiosk exclusively for all of my own businesses, and for all of my clients as well. This now totals close to 100 domain names that I personally monitor.

My comfort level is extremely high here - and this is why;

Relationships.

With Kiosk (GVO), the people who have served me, have served me well. The company is like any other company - they do some things right, but not all things. People, products, and systems sometimes fail - that's life in EVERY company. So if you go away thinking that I beleive Kiosk is perfect...you missed the point. What I am saying is that when mistakes are made they are acknowledged, addressed, and corrected within a reasonable timeframe, and I know the difference as a website developer working with clients who host with me, and some who don't. Dealing with the "other guys" typically sucks up my unbillable time, and wrinkles my pretty face! (hehe)

Then there is the "sponsorship" relationships that you get as a bonus for joining a company with an affiliate (network marketing style) sales and marketing team. Unless you have worked with a quality MLM company, and have been involved with people who will do just about anything to help you succeed, then you probably will remain clueless about the value of being part of a team of people who have a financial interest in seeing that you succeed - people who are not on your payroll, and not company employees, but rather are in the same business that you are in, and using the same services that you are using. What you get here is a second team of people who will help you, work with you, and care about you. Often times these people will become your closest friends - as is true in my case.

Lastly, there's the direct involvement invitation. The Joint Venture Partners group that I have been privileged to be a part of. I have been involved in the "pre-release" of many Kiosk/Hot Conference products, and have been allowed to contribute in exchange for early considerations when timing means everything. The JV partners has always been open to anyone who had an interest and the time to devote. This clearly has kept me in the "know".

Basic Hosting Services

So far, I have said nothing about the products and services that Kiosk/GVO has available. Well there's nothing too sexy regarding basic hosting service - that boils down to three things; ease of use, reliability, and tech support. Kiosk/GVO won't disappoint you on any of these issues. They are high-end quality on all three levels. But not everyone wants "basic" hosting, and there are other things to be considered as you move up. Two that come to mind are bandwidth and security. (Price we'll talk about in the article below.)

Last year when Kiosk was operating out of their Canadian facilities, they already had a close handle on security. They know the importance of operating a "class A" facility, but they had one major issue - bandwidth. They were already operating at 93% of capacity, and knew that they couldn't take on too many more "Internet Marketing Gurus" like Mike Filsaime without putting their total business in jeopardy.

Their solution was to relocate near a source point of fiber-optic cabling. In this case, they located near MCI Communications in San Antonio, TX. They have lots of company in the hosting arena there too (who charge hundreds of dollars more per month for services that are nowhere near as user-friendly - thank God I don't pay these bills, though some of my clients do). So, MCI understands the fiber "needs" that major hosting companies have very well. The end result is that although Kiosk/GVO continues to grow, they are now operating at only 3% of current capacity. And now they are preparing to add an additional 300 servers to handle the GVO launch. (Putting the wiring in, this week.)

What Makes GVO The Best.

Taking what is in my humble opinion a great service/product bundle and improving on it is one thing (and they are constantly doing that), but taking everything within that product bundle and re-packaging it with other exclusive and proprietary high-tech offerings under one nameplate and one commission structure just seems to make a whole lot more sense to me. This is half of what GVO is all about.

Before I talk about these other "flagship" products, I want to be clear about something. GVO solves a major issue for me. I never liked having to sell some products under one label and other products under a second, and then supporting two seperate sales teams with the same company. I could not see any advantage, and when some products like the Powerpoint Converter were added, I had to choose which "back office to place the link at, then there's the Easy Video Producer, and so forth. Fantastic business building tools, but come-on guys, one back office please? Hey - they listened!

The other half of the GVO advantage is in the teaching/coaching Guru's that Joel is putting on the new GVO Marketing/Training team.
