Kirstie Alley, talented actress over 55, came on the Oprah show wearing a bikini. It is not easy to do coming in front of millions of people watching to showcase your 55 year old body. Kirstie Alley had the courage and flaunted her sexy body on national TV. She looked amazing in the Kirstie Alley bikini pictures on the Oprah show as she had a great body. Of course, she was not slim or thin, but that was not the point. She lost about 75 pounds in about an year with Jenny Craig and it sure was not easy.

Things did not go well with Jenny Craig and after the 3 year contract with them ended, the weight loss company Jenny Craig fired Kirstie Alley as she gained most of the weight back. The upper management at Jenny Craig probably felt the fat actress is not appropriate for their ad campaign.

Kirstie Alley had her reality-comedy series Fat Actress on TV. After losing most of the fat weight, she looked gorgeous and appeared in the Oprah show just donning a bikini suit. Back in 2004, Kirstie Alley on Oprah talked about her struggle with weight gain on Oprah, when she weighed over 200 pounds. The day after her talk show appearance, decided to change her life and body. The first thing Kirstie Alley did was quit smoking and get on a plan. She started her own reality-comedy series Fat Actress where she battled with weight. She also became the spokeswoman for the Jenny Craig weight loss program. During this timeframe, Kirstie Alley lost weight about 75 pounds through the basic principle of diet and exercise.

Kirstie Alley says "The most important reason I want to wear a bikini on Oprah show is because if I, a 55 year old woman can look even half way decent, imagine how all of you could look in a bikini. Then all of us can breathe a little easier. Hell, I'll never look like Giselle, I never did! But maybe close to Bridget Jones or a Dove girl or something that is just fine and healthy and happy with no surgery, no lypo and no drugs-that's saying something!" Wow.

Actress Kirstie Alley was born in Wichita, Kansas in 1951. In 1984, Kirstie acted in an episode of The Love Boat. In 1987 she replaced Shelley Long on the comedy TV show "Cheers".
