Kite flying-a great outdoor activity.
56Kite Flying
Kite flying and being in the great outdoors is one of my favourite activities i really enjoy. I especially enjoy this past-time when i am on holiday somewhere or, near the coast. The feeling of the wind blowing against you and, the pleasure of keeping your chosen kite up and, flying is, truly a great exhilarating experience and, great fun!
There are several different kinds of kite which can be flown. The type of kite you choose to fly depends on the individuals own experience of flying and design "taste". There are all sorts of kite designs and shapes to choose from. Whether it be a Delta, a diamond shape or dragon shape design. These all fly very well in light, to medium winds.Box Kites and stickless Parafoil kites fly better when the winds get a little stronger. Quite a few kite flyers carry different types with them, depending on the prevailing winds.
Stunt kites are also great to fly as, there are many different "stunts" and, "tricks" you can perform with these types of kite.
On deciding which kite you choose to buy and, fly depends entirely upon the individual and their aims and, results they wish to achieve when flying a kite. You can purchase these from many online stores and websites. They can be already pre-assemled and, ready to fly in minutes or, you can purchase them with the instructions on making and, putting it all together yourself. You can also search the internet for instructions. "make your own or design your own". Whatever you decide, there are plenty of ways to buy and, find how-to instructions to get the type of kite that is right for you. I have found quite a few good sites which, give good instructions making a kite yourself. Alot of the designs on offer are quite good too! Then again, you have to be carefull on choosing the right type which is, right for you. There are a good deal of manufacturers that sometimes dont provide very good how-to instructions to assemble your kite when you get it!
Whatever kite you choose to purchase, you can look forward to many hours flying fun and, maybe, decide to purchase a few more for your collection!
Don't forget -
Flying Space should be a clear, open area. Stay away from roads, power lines or airports. Open fields, parks and beaches are great for flying kites. The more room you have, the more line you can let out.
No Storms: Never fly in rain or lightening. Electricity in clouds is attracted to damp kite lines and foolish kite fliers.
