Researchers claim that in a kiwifruit the average size 75 mg of vitamin C, contains about 46 calories, 0.3-gram fats, 1 gm proteins, 11 gm carbohydrates, 75 mg vitamins and 2.6 grams dietary fiber.

Kiwi fruits are native to China, where they were called "macaque peach". This fruit consists of a hairy, brown peel containing green flesh, with white pulp in the center, surrounded by black, edible seeds. The kiwi fruit has a sweet taste.

Kiwifruit is has several health and Nutritional benefits. This fruits contains as much potassium as bananas, and also contain around 1.5 times the DRI for Vitamin C. It is also rich in Vitamins A and E, and its black seeds can be crushed to produce kiwi fruit oil, which is very rich in Alfa-Linoleic Acid (an important Omega-3 essential fatty acid).

Studies have proven that kiwi fruits are useful in improving conditions of asthma in children. It provides good amount of dietary fiber and helps in decreasing the probability of colon cancer.
