Knowledge of Truth

(2Ti 3:1) This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

Perilous times are here now in this day that we live in. It isn't safe to go out at night alone. A person isn't safe in their own home anymore. Murders, rapes and kidnappings going on everywhere. Wars and rumors of wars all over the world. The war that's going on at this time is a holy war. Even if you don't believe it, Gods Word says it was going to happen. (Isa 10:33 Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled. Isa 10:34 And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one. )

(2Ti 3:2) For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

(2Ti 3:3) Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

The time that we live in shows this verse to be right on target. Divorce rates are higher than ever before. More dads are leaving their families to seek after their own lusts and giving up on taking care of the very children that they had fathered. Likewise women are doing the same thing. Leaving the children that came from their wombs to go after the lusts of their own hearts. They brag on how good they have it. They forget the life they left behind, the son or the daughter that is now without either a mother or a father.

Men sleeping with men, women with women. They even brag about this. Homosexuals showing their true colors left and right bragging on their ungodliness. Promises are broken when a man leaves His wife or a woman leaves her husband for the lusts of their own heart. Christians are despised because we do not condone their evil and wicked ways. They spread their lies just as their father Satan does.

(2Ti 3:4) Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

I have been reading a lot about how so many hate the president of the USA. The people voted him into office and we need to abide by our decision and remain faithful to our leaders. Whether we agree or disagree with the things he has done, we still should abide by him. Those who talk about how evil and wicked our president is are the ones who are evil and wicked. They are traitors in my opinion.

There are those that are so in love with sin that they will not repent even though they know in their heart that God wants them to repent. They go on and on deceiving their own selves into believing that God will not punish them. They believe that God will allow all to enter into heaven no matter what kind of life you live or whether you repent or not. They call God a liar when they say this.

(2Ti 3:5) Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

(2Ti 3:6) For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

There are those, who are spiritual, that say God is in everything and everything is in God. They are truly spiritual, but not all spirits are of God. Satan has deceiving spirits under his command also. They go out to deceive and destroy that which God would save from eternal punishment. Satan is mad at God and hates everything that God loves. These spiritualists have a form of godliness in the fact that they are spiritual. They tell things that seem to be absolute truth. They see things in the spirit that seem to be right. They have a form of power in the fact that so many belong to satan.

None of them have the power of the Holy Ghost working inside of them. Some of these have crept into the church also. We must be diligent and watch what goes on around us and inside of us lest we allow something ungodly and wicked to creep in and hold us captive. (1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: )

(2Ti 3:7) Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

From what I read in forums and in the news and websites people seek knowledge constantly. They seek knowledge so much that they miss the truth completely. Scientists work and study and experiment only to find out that all they get is more questions. Archaeologists dig and find artifacts that only cause them to ask more questions. There are many that believe that science is right and God is wrong. They learn constantly about the things of the world and never come to the knowledge of truth which is Christ Jesus.

Daniel wrote that knowledge will increase. (Dan 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.) Knowledge has increased steadily over the last hundred years or so. 150 years ago there was no such thing as an automobile. Man has now broken the sound barrier on land. The speed of sound is around 740 Miles per hour. We fly all around the world in planes. We can send an email that instantly gets to where we send it now. Plastic money has replaced dollar bills. Everything seems to have accelerated over the last 10 to 15 years.

Anyone who has eyes and ears can see and hear what's really going on around us. It is time to give up and let Jesus take over. Everything we try to handle on our own has always left a big mess. Jesus can take care of it all with no mess left to clean up, if only we would allow Him to do it for us. Let us not be deceived anymore. Let us love the Lord with everything that is in us. Let us love one another with our whole heart.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I love you with all that is within me. I love your Word for in it there is life. Without life Lord we are dead and death is the end of sin. Let us be more alive now than we have ever been. Let us love one another as you have loved us. Let us love the lost for they are only deceived as we once were. Let this message be read by lost souls that they might have conviction put upon them and give their life to you Lord. In Jesus precious and might name, AMEN.
