So I finally worked up the nerve to watch some official lolicon and acquired the Kodomo no Jikan OVA. The OVA borrows a lot of content from chapter 10 of the series and follows Kokonoe Rin, Kagami Kuro, and Usa Mimi trying to prepare something for their sensei's birthday.

For those who don't know, Rin is the main character of Kodomo no Jikan, which is a manga series by Watashiya Kaworu. She is a third grader who is in love with her teacher, Aoki Daisuki. Aoki-sensei is a twenty-three year old virgin and new at teaching, so he has a lot of trouble, especially with Rin. Rin's best friends are the rich Kuro (who is secretly in love with her) and the over-developed Mimi.

For a little more back story, Rin's mother had her out of wedlock and died. Rin's older cousin--her guardian--was in an incestuous relationship with Rin's mother from the time he moved in with them (during his high school years) until her death.

In the series, Rin constantly harasses and makes sexual advances upon her teacher. In the OVA, Rin, Kuro, and Mimi spend all their money playing games and getting ice cream and go back to Rin's to make gifts by hand. Kuro spends the time making a voodoo doll, Mimi falls in love with Rin's cousin and spends the time reciting a love spell, and Rin struggles to paint a portrait for her beloved sensei. In the end, she ends up sending him two photos of herself--one in which her arms are outstretched as if she's giving him a hug, and another in which she is wearing nothing but a long ribbon.

He starts to look for her to deliver a scolding, and she texts him, telling him to look down out a window. When he does, he sees Kuro, Rin, and Mimi standing aside a phrase written by each of them--"Lolicon Teacher, " "I absolutely love Aoki-sensei," and "Please take care of me."

The OVA mainly serves as a way of examining the different aspects of Rin and why each one exists (Mimi basically narrates this). As a lolicon series, Kodomo no Jikan is most definitely seinen, but it isn't excessively perverted. And it's unique because rather than focusing on men pursuing little girls being, a little girl is the one pursuing a man. If you want to give some true lolicon a shot without being forced to look at hentai, this OVA is a good place to start.
