What is Kung Fu
Kung fu is a popular term that has become synonymous with Chinese martial arts. However the Chinese terms kung fu (Chinese: 功夫 pinyin: gōngfū) according to our trusted friend wiki has little to do with chinese martial arts! Kung fu can be used in a context without any martial arts whatsoever.
Colloquially, kung fu (or gung fu) alludes to any individual accomplishment or cultivated skill obtained by long and hard work.

Now that is a caption if I ever wrote one!It is said that a change is as good as a rest. It has been a long couple of weeks, clients and self-projects and deadlines! On a whim I decided to the movies! I had no idea what I was going to view. Well I settled very quickly on Kung Fu Panda which features the famed BraJelina and of course the oh so funny Jack Black! I was with a friend, as I sat down, I commented on how I loved these movies centered on ancient Chinese wisdom. I was sure to learn something. I laughed out loud and thoroughly enjoyed the movie and I give it Party Plan Pat’s two thumbs up!There is a rather large Panda (Po), with a dream to become the greatest Kung Fu Master & legend. Of himself he says, “Legend tells of a legendary warrior whose kung fu skills were the stuff of legend.” He has studied all there is to know about Kung Fu, its origins and is well acquainted with the legendary masters themselves. So deep is his desire, so vivid is his passion that he eats sleeps and drinks Kung Fu! The Panda has for a father a goose (Mr. Ping). His father is a top noodle maker in this given ancient Chinese village (imagine that noodles in china?) Dad assumes his son will obviously take on the family business and become a reknowned noodle chef! After all as Mr. Ping tells his son, “We are noodle folk. Broth runs through our veins.” And to be the best noodle chef, Po must be in possession of the secret ingredient! Then comes the call, there is as always a villain (Tai Lung) who will be arriving soon. We are introduced to this villain through the vision of the always sagely tortoise character (Master Oogway), hence the term old man tortoise. Full of wisdom the tortoise and village seer and oracle, senses a wave of change. To herald the change he must choose the next Kung Fu Master who will bring balance to the universe! Finally the Panda gets his chance to be part of the festivities and the story unfolds. As you have figured out The Panda is the Kung Fu Master!Po: Legend tells of a legendary warrior whose kung fu skills were the stuff of legend.
THERE IS NO SECRET INGREDIENT....WHA?
How you start something is how you finish it Claudia Joy – Army Wives
As you guessed there is always a moral to these ancient Chinese stories. And now for the secret ingredient…
1. Believe in yourself enough to try something that everyone else is telling you is ridiculous. Oftentimes, especially in this business, people will ask “now what is it that you do?” I know because I get it from my family all of the time. It is tough to persevere when you believe that all of those around you are against you and can’t understand the potential that is available to those who are able to market effectively on the internet. Here’s my challenge to you on this point, do something everyday that terrifies you, and just see what you find out about yourself (courtesy of Mimi Tenace, Financial Freedom Creator)
2. All that a man achieves and all that he fails to achieve is the direct result of his thoughts – James Allen
3. For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Proverbs 23:7.
4. Master Oogway: Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present. Live in the moment, be in the now! The thing about this industry is that it is about becoming. Success is a by-product of being! So be the best home party consultant. Be the best upline. Be the best writer. Be the best home party plan demonstrator!
5. Tai Lung: You... you're just a big... fat... panda!
Po: I'm not a big fat panda. I'm *the* big fat panda.
STICKS AND STONES MAY BREAK MY BONES, BUT WORDS (NAMES) WILL NEVER HURT ME. - "Although a physical attack may harm me, I am not bothered by cruel words or name-calling. I don't care what you're saying. This children's taunt was first listed in 'Folk Phrases of Four Counties' (1894) by G.F. Northall and is first attested in the United States in 'Miss Lindsey' (1936) by S.G. Gibbons. In recent post I spoke of crabs and their nature to pull each other down! You know the mistake we all make is from whom we chose to take our advice.
It is often said that knowledge is power. As true as that is, I am going to debunk that myth. It is the application of knowledge that yields power.
So whom do you listen to? How has it helped you? What are you willing to change so that you can achieve your dreams?
The most important lesson that Po learns is that that “there is no secret ingredient” in the famous soup his father makes. The secret ingredient is his dad, that is why it is so delicious and everyone loves it. So, what does that mean for the home party plan consultant?…..you tell me! The secret ingredient IS you!! Products and programs will come and go, there is not anything new under the sun out there except for you. You are the brand and when people get to know you and like you, they will trust you and you will have a platform in which to direct people you come in contact with through this exposure to products, programs, etc… that you recommend. So there is your challenge, go and brand yourself, not a product, and watch the phenomenal results! (again courtesty of Mimi Tenace, Financial Freedom Creator)
“That which we persist in doing becomes easier for us to do; not that the nature of the thing itself is changed, but that our power to do is increased”

Hey I think you would like it too! Thanks for stopping by!
What a great post, and a GREAT movie for old and young alike! The messages hit all generations and it will uplift you. I love how you related these principles to the home party plan business. I have been in the business and never truly understood that it was about me, and not about the opportunity. That must be why I was a complete failure at Mary Kay :-)
I am so glad to have found the secret ingredient....me, so that I am finally able to see success with any business as long as I stay true to myself (the secret ingredient) and let people get to know and trust me. Thanks for the great insights and for making me laugh!
Hey mimi! you are welcome, gotta fix the videos to figure out why they are not playing!
