LCD TV SCREEN REPAIR

LCD TV repair Vs. LCD TV replacement

Whilst not exactly one of life’s greatest dilemmas, deciding whether to replace your TV with a new shiny model, or have it repaired is still worthy of debate. Now, should that old TV be an ailing CRT, the decision will be straightforward. However, should that TV be a relatively modern flat screen, the decision suddenly becomes tricky. So, what should you do – seek out an expensive LCD TV repair service, or seek out a new expensive piece of kit?

"Discover The Secrets Of LCD TV Screen Repair"

As a starting point, you should consider whether your current TV is still worthy of its place in your home. Technology in TVs moves on by the minute it seems, and with the inclusion of so many new features, your current unit could already be behind the times.

However, just because you haven’t got that integrated PVR, multi tuner, coffee making, Blueray, Bluetooth, Bluepod(!) version, doesn’t mean you should junk your unit just yet. Whilst a repair may not seem cost effective, if it is simply a backlight going – getting it repaired should cost you no more than $80. Indeed, if you are confident enough, doing it for yourself will reduce this down to as little as fifteen bucks!

With many good guides being available online now, for not a great deal of money, you could soon learn the basics to replace many components of an LCD TV. And you never know, you might just stumble across a handy additional income, by helping your friends and neighbors.

There is also the environmental argument. New TVs are a lot more friendly to the environment; being more energy efficient and even, (at least partially), biodegradable. But then of course, there is the cost and damage caused by trashing an older model. Harmful chemicals are likely to be leaked into the ground from landfill, and will only photodegrade over several thousands of years.

If you are unable to make a decision one way or the other, you could take the middle ground route.

If not ridiculously expensive, you could decide to have it repaired, and sell it on as a refurbished unit. Then you could take this extra couple of hundred bucks or so, and finance the purchase of a new model.

Buying a new TV is not always the best option; going down the LCD TV repair route could be far more cost effective, and allow you to free up funds for more important things - like feeding the kids for example! Whichever you decide, just be sure to go through all the Pros and Cons thoroughly.

To have it repair and sell as a refurbished unit is a smart advice. Nice info you have here ColinFuller.
