When your missionary gets their mission call one of the most exciting first steps to take is to get online and check out a map of their mission and learn a little bit more about the state, or country, that they are going to spend the next two years of their life.

However many times, once the excitement has died down a little bit and your missionary is off serving the Lord, families of the missionary would like to know where their missionary is living every time they get transferred. One of the best ways to keep track of your missionary's different areas is to use an lds missions map that comes with a Mission Tracker.

What is a Mission Tracker? A mission tracker is the ultimate LDS missionary plaque and is specifically designed to help you know the location and whereabouts of your missionary.

Make the Most of the Map

One of the great features about the Mission Tracker is that it uses the actual mission map that you or your missionary got in the mission packet. This lds mission map has the actual dimensions, and specific areas that your missionary will most likely serve in.

The map will be over the top of a corkbord along with some colored pins so that you can place a colored pin in each of the areas that your missionary serves in.  These pins also match a colored area card that has space for the current mission address, so that when you look at the area card you can find the appropriately colored pin to see where exactly on the map they are.  This can be a fun way to know where your missionary is at, and to experience their journey with them.

Each map comes in color, and also is geographically set up so you can see if it is a dryer, more mountainous area, or a greener area along the coast.  Because there are so many different mission areas and they are constantly changing, Mission Tracker may ask you to send a copy of your mission map so that they can get an accurate view of the actual mission boundaries.  Check out their site for more information.
