LISTENING TO HOSTILE MUSIC CAN BREED HOSTILITY
Here is some ground breaking news:
A new study from the American Psychological Association shows that violent music can actually increase hostility.
Imagine that! A lot of "social experts" have said in the past that this type of angry music may serve as a positive force.
They have argued that violent music can diffuse anger, and keep aggressive people from acting out, their feelings. But this new research proves otherwise.
The truth is violent and provocative music is a dangerous force in our culture - especially with children and teenagers.
It increases feelings of hostility and anger, and actually creates a more antagonistic environment.
We are all affected by what we see and hear, especially children, who are particularly vulnerable.
So keep a close eye on your children's music choices.

I love music traditionally seen as "hostile" by most (IE metal) but I do not like hostile forms of metal music. When metal artists can use their music to express other emotions (happiness, sadness, etc), I see that as being FAR more creative.
